Tide gives founders a voice in new media campaign

15 September 2021

Tide, the UK’s leading business financial platform, has launched a new media campaign across TV and out-of-home.

Starring real businesses instead of actors, it aims to give founders of small businesses a voice  – and encourages them to make some noise!

With life and the economy returning to normal, now is the time for small business owners to explore opportunities to expand into new markets, grow their product ranges and even grow their teams. ‘Founders Make some Noise’ is an empowering campaign, encouraging business owners to take their business to the next level with confidence.

To maximise exposure, 20- and 30-second ads will air across a range of TV channels over the coming weeks, including ITV Breakfast, ITV1, Channel 4, Sky News, and the Discovery Network. The national and regional placements will be supplemented by targeted out-of-home activity, with all media planning and buying managed by Guerillascope.

In collaboration with creative agency and Tide member, Sidekick Studios – and true to its core value of putting small businesses first – ‘Founders Make Some Noise’ features three brilliant and diverse UK businesses, who also happen to be Tide members. The companies featured are LOUD Architects, Salami Events and Luxemore London.

Commenting on the new campaign, George Schmidt, VP of Marketing at Tide said: “With this new campaign we really want to celebrate and empower small businesses. We hope that by showcasing three brilliantly exciting and diverse businesses we can inspire others to take the step to start their business or take it to the next level.

“Central to ‘Founders Make Some Noise’, is the passion Tide has for our small business members and the ease with which we allow them to sign up and access a plethora of time-saving products, covering banking, invoicing, expenses, expense cards, and much more. Tide’s mission is to save small businesses time (and money) so they can get back to doing what they love and we hope this comes through loud and clear in this campaign.”

Over 370,000 SMEs now use Tide for their business banking and admin needs. Aiming to build on this, the company has recently announced that it will be expanding into India, with a full launch coming in early 2022.
