MrQ raises stakes with new sponsorship campaign

30 March 2022

MrQ, the popular online casino, has unveiled a new TV and radio sponsorship campaign with Guerillascope as part of a concerted bid to increase brand reach.

The home of much-loved slot and bingo games such as Starburst, Bonanza and 9 Pots of Gold will be the proud sponsor of ITV2’s Celebrity Juice throughout its ten-episode run from March. This will air in conjunction with a sponsorship of The Sports Bar on Talksport, a weekly show helmed by ex-football pros Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara. MrQ is running a competition as part of this package, with one lucky caller winning £500 each week.

The sponsorship idents were developed and produced by Fall Off The Wall, with media planning and buying led by Guerillascope.

Holding the title of EGR Slots Operator of the Year 2021, MrQ prides itself on removing the jargon and allowing customers to focus of having fun. All winnings are paid in cash. Every slot game is independently tested to provide a quality playing experience, while zero wagering requirements mean customers get to keep every penny of their win, even if won on a free spin or bonus. This no-nonsense approach is reflected in their latest campaign ‘You Win Some, You Lose Some’.

Commenting on the launch of the campaign, Savvas Fellas, MD at MrQ said, says “Our latest campaign is a significant milestone in MrQ’s development as we launch our rebrand and drive forward our focus on promoting gambling for its entertainment value rather than the outdated industry standard of pushing jackpot wins. We’re delighted to partner with Guerillascope & FOTW to facilitate these new sponsorships and can’t wait to see the reaction of our customers and industry peers’’.

Katy Sharpe, Managing Director at Guerillascope, adds: “We’re delighted to be working with MrQ, a company we believe is shaking up the online casino market in a positive way. The brand is truly customer-first – a characteristic that has driven considerable growth over the past couple of years. We feel that the mass reach attainable through TV and radio sponsorship represents a logical next step for a business that now wants to take things to the next level.”

Co-founder/Director at FOTW, Robin Byrne, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with MrQ on their latest TV sponsorship campaign. We have supported their move to TV and are excited with the brand they are building across all screens. Together with Guerillascope we have helped further extend MrQ’s brand awareness on ITV and look forward to seeing them grow across all channels.”
