Guerillascope has secured a Silver EcoVadis Medal in partnership with L’Occitane, as part of the Responsible Beauty initiative.
The rating places us in the top 10% of businesses assessed by the UK’s leading sustainability ratings provider.
To determine its ratings, EcoVadis analyses a company’s supply chains and operations to ascertain how they impact on environmental protection, labor and human rights, fair business practices, and sustainable procurement. To date, the platform has rated over 100,000 businesses across 200 industries.
The Responsible Beauty Initiative was founded in 2017 with a focus on procurement among beauty brands in particular. Co-ordinated by EcoVadis, the scheme’s aim is to improve sustainability across the whole supply chain by promoting best practices and encouraging collaboration.
Guerillascope and L’Occitane’s operations received scrutiny as part of the assessment; together, we were able to demonstrate how our use of a Media Carbon Calculator minimised emissions derived from the end-delivery of the brand’s media campaign.
Commenting on the Silver Medal, Katy Sharpe, Managing Director at Guerillascope, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have received this prestigious recognition from EcoVadis. To be in the top 10% of all companies assessed is a testament to our commitment in ensuring the work we do has minimal impact on the planet.
“We know the hard work must continue; there is still so much that we can do to improve. But our partnership with L’Occitane demonstrates what can be achieved when an agency and client share the same values. It shows we can be a trusted media partner for advertisers who don’t want growth to compromise their sustainability goals.”
