Named by Forbes as one of London’s most exciting start-ups of 2016, giftcard marketplace Zeek appointed Guerillascope as its TV and VoD planning agency in 2016.

Objectives

  • Drive app downloads and web traffic, working towards a CPL target.
  • Improve customer conversion and optimise towards customer sales value.
  • Raise brand awareness

What we did

  • The strategy was devised to reach viewers around Cyber weekend and the wider festive season.
  • Key to its success was finding the right balance between cost-efficient lead generation and brand awareness. To achieve this, we negotiated high-profile TV spots within Christmas films on national TV to run concurrently with airtime on Freeview Channels, such as Dave and E4.
  • Planning flexibility was crucial to Zeek. Therefore, we typically booked on a week-by-week basis. This enabled us to capitalize on last-minute airtime deals over the Christmas period, and react to internal sales figures quickly.
  • VOD placements were interlaced with the brand’s TV spots to drive incremental reach. This also allowed us to target granular consumer groups, such as ‘Deal Seekers’ on the ALL4 platform.
