Smash Hits

Smash Hits is a British TV music channel owned by Box TV. It was launched in 2001 as a spin-off to the now defunct Smash Hits magazine. The channel’s output consists almost entirely of music videos related to mainstream pop music, with its schedule consisting of various charts, such as The UK Music Video Chart, and themed segments dedicated to particular artists or decades, which include biographies and countdowns. Due to the nature of music broadcasted the channel appeals mostly to a younger, particularly female audience.
