Owned by CBS Chello Zone, the Horror Channel was launched in 2004, originally as Zone Horror. The channel airs mostly cult, Hollywood, B-movie, comedy and classic horror films. It also broadcasts thrillers and specially produced, in-house specials – as well as documentaries and TV series. It prides itself on its cult image, and has only recently begun to show mainstream cinema.
